  • to help visitors enjoy and understand it; and
  • to foster the wellbeing of local people.

How do we see the future of the National Park?  We have a clear vision for the National Park for the next 20 years.  This sets the scene for all our strategic documents.

Who does the work?  The Park is administered by a special National Park Authority made up of 18 members, over 100 staff and our volunteers.

Our Administrative Make up – Our administrative area covers parts of 9 of Unitary Authorities.  We are the planning authority, while the Unitary Authorities retain responsibility for all other local government services within their areas of the park.
