Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority are inviting the public, land-owners and developers to put forward candidate sites to be included in the forthcoming Local Development Plan (LDP). The Authority welcomes sites for various land uses including employment, residential, tourism, waste and community.
The Local Development Plan provides the legal framework for the development and use of land within the National Park and it is currently under review. As part of the review the Authority is calling for candidate sites; providing landowners and the public with the opportunity to put forward land that they wish to be considered for development.
There is no guarantee that proposed sites will be taken forward in the LDP, however their submission will enable the Authority to assess the availability of sites when considering development land requirements and strategic options for development.
Julian Stedman, Chairman of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority’s Planning and Rights of Way Committee said:
“The Local Development Plan provides the public with an opportunity to assist in shaping the future landscape. We would like to invite the public, land-owners and developers to submit potential sites to be included in the new Local Development Plan.”
Julian Atkins, CEO of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority added:
“The Local Development Plan is fundamental to the National Park and the purpose of this review is to identify whether any adjustments need to be made in relation to changing national and local circumstances. If the public have any ideas related to sites, then we urge them to use our website and access the assessment questionnaire.”
