At a Vintage Rally and Family Fun Day on Sunday 11th May, from 11am onwards, the National Park Visitor Centre grounds will be transformed into a bygone era with traditional craft stalls, field ploughing the way it used to done and vintage bus trips to see views of historic Mynydd Illtyd.
Visitors will be treated to vintage machinery displays, raffles, traditional craft stalls and local food, fresh from the boundaries of National Park. Brecon Ford will also be presenting their latest bio fuel car in contrast with the vintage ones on display. It will be fun for the whole family with children entertained by activities like welly wanging, splat the rat, guess the weight of the lamb and building model robots.
The rally will be officially opened by the Honourable Mrs Shan Legge-Burke and has been organised by Soroptimist International Brecon and District Club, Defynnog Vintage Society and Friends and Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority. All proceeds raised will go to Brecknock Young Carers and Brecon Mountain Rescue.
The rally will be open from 11am until 4pm and food will be available all day courtesy of the Visitor Centre Tearooms. For further information please contact Mrs Catherine Phillips Davies, President for Soroptimist International Brecon Club on 01874 638108.
