The National Park Authority is committed to delivering large-scale nature recovery, as set out in its management plan, Dyfodol y Bannau. However, resources and funding remain key barriers to achieving these ambitions. A blend of public and private finance will likely be needed to achieve the scale of ambition set out in the plan.
We are therefore exploring high-integrity opportunities by strengthening our fundraising capacity across foundations, trusts, and philanthropic sources, while also developing and shaping emerging nature finance opportunities. This work is being delivered in partnership with communities and other stakeholders across the region and Wales and is underpinned by the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act ways of working.
