The National Park Authority has offered its assistance to The Forestry Commission in undertaking further surveys of potentially infected woodlands and will continue to do so should this be required.

Please report any suspected findings directly to the Forestry Commission, rather than to the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority.
DEFRA has issued a public statement summarising the UK Government’s objectives for managing and containing the spread of this fungal infection. The statement summarises a five point approach to meeting these objectives, as well as the longer term priorities going forward. The UK Government will be publishing an action plan at the end of November 2012. In the meantime DEFRA also recommend the Forestry Commission site given above.
